After 1323 days we have come home to a new house with new floors, new windows, new walls, new ceilings, new bathrooms, new spa tub, new shower, new lights, new roof, new kitchen, new appliances, new spiral staircase, new scrapbook space, new chores, new sounds, new sites, new feelings, new keys, new fans, new sinks, new faucets, and a new doggy door. What's not new is our front door, a Katrina survivor.
Looking back 1323 days I would never have thought I would be standing in such a beautiful home. It is such a surreal feeling that tears flow wondering what's around the next corner. WE MADE IT!! Can't help but think about the many who are still not home.
